The North Rhine-Westphalia Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (LDI NRW) is a public body that monitors and supervises compliance with data protection laws and regulations in the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. In addition, the Commissioner sees to it that the citizens can make use of their right of access to information held by public authorities in this state.

Who is the North Rhine-Westphalia Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information?
Mrs Helga Block is the North Rhine-Westphalia Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information since 2015. The North Rhine-Westphalia Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information is elected by the State Parliament and has independent status.
